Almost 40.000 boats have finished the second leg of the Virtual Ocean Race and thousands are soon making port in Cochin. It has been an exciting passage after again a nail biting start.
We're all spending so much time on the virtual waters, staring at the ever-to-slow-moving boats, that you would almost forget there's more out there. To show you there's more we will give you the superfast quick tour on steroids of where we are right now. Well we're in India, also known as God's own country. And it's a crowded country. 16.93% of the world population lives here. That's about 800 Million mouths more to feed than we have right now in the United States. Its also the largest democracy in the world, famous for the Taj Mahal, holy cows and one of the most remarkable people of the last century: Mahatma Ghandi. As we did with the last lag we want to give everybody some rest like the real teams have before heading to Singapore. Therefore we will close the race two days before the start of leg 3 and will teleport all remaining ships to Cochin. The course to Singapore promises to be a daunting one. There are a lot of islands and coastal lines to stay away from so please pay attention to your heading. There will be another Newsletter send out to you before the start of Leg 3.
